According to the 1940 census, Raymond M. Haak Jr was the oldest of three children born to Raymond M. & Bertha Haak. At that time, he was still single and living at 260 Fayette Street in Palmyra, Wayne, New York. Since this residence is the same as in 1935, perhaps it is his birthplace. His siblings were a Robert "Bob" Haak, born about 1931, and a sister Elaine Ann (Haak) Macca, born about 1937. He graduated from M.I.T. in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1950.
He had two children by Delores, Raymond M. Haak III of Kettering, Ohio and a daughter, Cynthia H. (Haak) Ahmuty of Bronxville, New York. Cynthia was born in September of 1954. She married Atty. Steven J. Ahmuty, Jr. They have two sons - Steven J. III and Tyler H. Her brother, and his wife have three children.
Still no luck on how Marshfield, Mass came to be their final resting place. Hopefully someone can add this piece of information to complete there story.
Update - his wife, Del, was the connection to Marshfield. She graduated from Marshfield High:
In sadness, we mourn the sudden passing of Delores (Del) Haak, age 86, of Southbury, Connecticut on April 4, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Raymond M. Haak. Born on September 28, 1930, Del graduated from Marshfield High School and Mt. Ida Junior College. She was the consummate homemaker and loving mother, fun, charming and easy going. Del was always the life of the party. She loved helping other people, visiting them when they were ill and comforting them. Del had many interests and hobbies, especially traveling. Gardening was her true joy; she was happiest digging in the dirt with mud under her nails. Del is survived by her loving fiancé, Forest Herron. Wonderful mother to Cindy Ahmuty and Chip Haak. Adoring grandmother to Trace and Tyler Ahmuty, and Morgan, Carter and Payton Haak. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM on June 10, 2017 at the Watermark, Southbury, CT. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to St. George’s Episcopal Church, Tucker Road, Middlebury, CT 06762 or The United Church of Christ, 283 Main Street North, Southbury, CT 06488. Munson Lovetere Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
