The Marshfield Hills Cemetery is located just outside the historical residential village area on Old Main Street and has 900+ headstones, and 293 slate markers. and spans 6-1/2 acres. The earliest death recorded here was in 1729.
This area was once known as East Marshfield and laid out in 1729. Two churches occupied part of this cemetery in the past years - the Chapel of Ease and a Unitarian Church. The North Church (1837) rests at the north end of the cemetery. Many local residents walk these grounds for pleasure.
